TAMARAMA

SYDNEY

A new five level residence overlooking Tamarama Beach, situated on a narrow steep site facing south. Internal rooms and spaces are arranged to one side of a continuous series of straight stair flights. The sandstone base of the house forms a plinth upon which the lighter steel framed and colorbond standing seam clad upper house is perched.

The upper floor consists of living areas with a series of sawtooth roof forms which let in northern sun and daylight. This floor opens to a timber deck balcony over looking the beach and a larger timber deck with BBQ area and garden to the northern side. The mid level consists of bedrooms, while the lower levels at the front are used for study/guest accommodation and entertainment.
